Our second oldest granddaughter Malorie had a thing for Snow Leopards a while back so I thought I would put this page together for her. Hopefully she will dig up more info about them that we can add to the page. In the mean time I will be providing links to other Snow Leopard sites as I get the time.

We saw Snow Leopards for the first time in the Seattle Zoo a number of years ago. It was summer and the poor critters were pretty uncomfortable. We went back the following February when it was about twenty-five degrees out and they were moving around and displaying those beautiful coats.

Like many of the wild cat species the Snow Leopard is quickly disappearing from its habitat due to poaching and displacement by human activity. I don't know if these three little cubs were photographed in captivity or in the wild but I would suspect the former.

This young cat looks like it might be dreaming of being somewhere else.
